Business Development Manager (Technology Enablement)

Reports To: SVP, Business Consulting

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Job Summary: The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for prospecting new clients with a focus on Technology Enablement Services by networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. Services include data visualization and analytics, robotic process automation and business process automation focused on business outcomes. The BDM will focus on developing a rapport with new clients and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. Also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients, while developing the pipeline of new business coming into the company.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Individual Performance

  • Drive strategic account planning and development within Technology Enablement and across all professional services.
  • Creating processes for leveraging opportunities across BD and recruiting organizations
  • Develop partnership relationships with new/potential clients executive level personnel in the areas of IT, Finance and Internal Audit
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
  • Understand Eliassen’s goal and purpose to help enhance the company’s performance
  • Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales

Administration

  • Be the administrator of Salesforce
  • Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the CRM
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators

Collaboration

  • Leading the reporting of activities against KPIs for the entire BD organization against KPI’s
  • Support training and education for BD professionals, consultants (with respect to BD), et al
  • Supporting cross selling initiatives across Eliassen Group
  • Work with consulting staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs

    Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • At least 5 years of business development experience in the client services/professional services arena with a focus custom technology solutions (not commercial product)
  • Strong networking and persuasion skills
  • Experience prospecting new clients
  • Ability to research client’s needs and identify client challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven closing skills and motivation for sales
  • Strong knowledge of the Mid-Atlantic and/or Northeast market
  • Ability to meet sales goals
  • High level of professionalism
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
