Job Description

Responsibilities of the Cloud DevOps Engineer:

Define the Cloud Architecture for both pure and hybrid cloud solutions. Design solutions for complex business problems. Work with Security teams to ensure solutions comply with FISMA controls and Federal security policies. Create DevOps-enabled automated CI/CD solution that delivers tools and processes for rapid application development efforts and on-going production operations. Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to develop sound automation solutions. Troubleshoot automation issues and find practical solutions to address barriers. Ensure deliverables are completed on time and of high-quality. Develop and manage KPIs to measure performance and alignment with business objectives. Design and develop enterprise architectures and defines key capabilities and performance requirements. Develop technical roadmaps for future implementations. Develop business case analysis on potential projects. Ensure security is integrated into all architecture solutions. Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Company headquartered in Bethesda, MD, but position requires long-term assignments to client sites yet to be determined throughout the U.S.

Requirements of the Cloud DevOps Engineer:

Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or any related occupation

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or any related occupation

1 year of experience with: AWS; Kubernetes; Jenkins; DB; Python; CloudWatch; Dockers; AWS cloud; AMIs; Lambda; Elastic Load Balance.
