Position Title:  Senior Associate, Retained Search

Location:  Berwyn, PA 

Position Summary:

The Senior Associate, Retained Search at Eliassen Group is responsible for supporting the Director in leading retained searches. Over the course of a search, an effective Senior Associate conducts research, builds target company lists, sources and screens 50-75% of the candidates and manages data entry for each search. Over time, a Senior Associate should progress to taking the majority of ownership of all candidate interactions with little to no Director oversight and effectively present qualified candidates on weekly client calls. A successful Senior Associate on the pathway to Director will consistently demonstrate practice-specific expertise and have begun building a specialization that contributes to searches beyond the general knowledge of the practice.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • The Senior Associate works closely with the Director and serves as a key strategic resource to the search including but not limited to new candidate and company research, candidate pipeline development, candidate engagement through LinkedIn, emails or phone calls and overall project management for each assigned search.
  • Responsible for sourcing, screening and managing 50-75% of all candidates for each assigned search.
  • Participate in and conduct extensive interviews with qualified candidates and assist in the writing of detailed assessments (based on the position qualifications) that exceed client expectations.
  • Every week, present new candidates to the Director (and/or Client) with rationale based on their qualifications for the role.
  • Coordinate with the client on scheduling of candidate interactions and consistently engage with the Director throughout the search.
  • Assist in the preparation for client update calls by creating the agenda with discussion topics and ensuring each search is updated in Bullhorn.
  • During client update calls, transcribe notes detailing company updates, candidate updates, and client suggestions.
  • Ensure completion of position description, target company list, search cheat sheets, outreach templates and initial candidate pipeline.
  • Conduct detailed research projects to map candidates and companies from relevant industries.
  • Outside of each assigned search, consistently discover and add qualified candidates to our pipeline of top executive talent for future searches and business development opportunities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, accounting, finance or another related field is highly preferred
